Deepen, Innovate and Extend our Programming

NYWS is a place that exists for all women, trans and non-binary people and their children. NYWS can be leaders in the ethical, trauma-informed, rights based delivery of service orientation for those most affected by gender based violence. NYWS has the opportunity to crystalize our approach and strengthen our programs, as laid out in our Theory of Change.

We have committed to creating an evidence base for its programs based on outcomes as well as the guidance and meaningful involvement of survivors. With these parameters, we can increase outreach and deepen core programming, while collaborating with services and systems that can enhance what NYWS can offer to assist clients to build lives sustainably free from violence.   

This priority area will advance our Theory of Change and will include the following objectives:

Implement an explicit values-based and structured client management approach that translates across programs/functions and shifts
Embed continuous learning in our primary work as an ARAO/Trans-Inclusive Trauma and Violence Informed program and services provider
Define, train and ensure core competency in an elaborated model of service delivery
